Off-Page Optimization Tips

In our previous post we discussed some of the top On-Page Optimization Tips. However, SEO is a broader domain that also includes a number of important off-page optimization techniques. Off-page optimization includes all SEO strategies that are applied outside your website. The most easily adaptable and effective off-page optimization tips are highlighted below:
1. Let rank juice flow though inbound links:
Your website links dwelling at other websites are referred to as “Inbound Links”. Links that are effective for SEO have to have the following attributes:
i) They should come from a website that has a high rank itself. If your site receives a lot of good back-links, then it will get a higher search engine ranking.
ii) They should be linked from websites with the same business niche. A shoe store’s link on a food shop would make less sense. Moreover, links from the same business industry would be of more interest to the users.
iii) Linked keywords should point to relevant pages. This strengthens the authenticity of your keywords for spiders.
2. Create a network:
Create a network with people belonging to the same business industry. Forming affiliations will be helpful for creating inbound links and promoting advertisement campaigns. It will also route and circulate more traffic within the business network.
3. Make your own social market:
Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, all provide a fling for building social connections. Business marketing through social media is a good way to make off-page optimization easy, approachable and provides many SEO advantages.
What NOT to do:
There are many black hat SEO opportunities out there, but pages that use them are penalized by search engines. Link farms and paid links were used by many sites to get back-links but such links are now easily identified by web-crawlers and the website’s ranking suffers in the long run.
